Virginia Beach, Va. -The 39th annual East Coast Surfing
Championships, The Virginia Beach Jaycees, and The United States Surfing
Federation are pleased to announce the scores for the 4th day of amateur
and the 3rd day of Pro Surfing competition.
The surf dramatically improved on Saturday. Consistent
six-foot waves have made their way to shore a result of a low pressure
system drifting just off the coast. Amateur and Professional surfers
alike were more than pleased with the sudden swell and were able provide
an amazing display of surfing skill for the crowd. The waves are forecast
to remain in the 4-6 foot range for the remainder of the weekend. The
finals on Sunday are expected to be some of the best heats in the entire
39 year history of the ECSC.
All surfers listed below have advanced to the finals.
