East Coast Surfing Championships - Press Office - ECSC, the premier surfing contest and Pro-Am Surfing competition on the East Coast is the Southeast's best beach and entertainment festival located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The surfing competition and beach events also includes other water sports: skimboarding, volleyball, a boardwalk 5K run, Hooters swimsuit contest, street skateboard and ramp contests, and live bands and music on the beach.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The 43rd Annual East Coast Surfing Championships will be held August 24-28, 2005 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

MTV2 is searching for their new VJ and they are coming to ECSC hoping to find one in Hampton Roads. Anyone who is between 18 and 24 years of age is welcome to try out. Auditions will be held at the Cox Communications Pavilion on the beach at 2nd Street August 27th from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The East Coast Surfing Championships is produced solely by the Virginia Beach Jaycees, an all volunteer organization. A portion of the proceeds raised at the event benefit the Jaycee’s many charitable projects.
